OOPS!

It's been more than a month since I've posted here, so I guess I should come up with a little something to babble about!

I have located, viewed, agreed, paid and signed for a new apartment.  I'm very much looking forward to being out of the downtown area and into a serene environment.  My current neighbors are constantly noisy, whether it's kids screaming and beating on the dividing wall or their TV/radio turned up entirely too loud!

I'm also looking forward to a smaller apartment (I hate to clean!) and windows that open and will allow for fresh air on those beautiful Colorado days.  As it stands now, if I can leverage my window open at all, there is no screen and I'm afraid of what odor might waft into my apartment from the alley.

My new place is bright and cheerful whereas my current abode is dreary.  I'll be losing a dishwasher and high-tech laundry options, but I'll also be saving more than $200 per month!  Yep, that's a deal I'll gladly make.

One hiccup I recently learned about:  the current renter (who no longer lives there) will NOT turn in his keys a couple of days early so I can move in on December 28th.  I mean, I get it--he paid his lease and it doesn't end until 12/31/11 at noon.  However, don't be a douche just because you're a lawyer!  I'm not going to worry about it or dwell on it anymore than what I just said.  My new plan is to move everything out of my place on December 30th, as well as finish cleaning and turning in the keys, spend the night at my brother's place (moving truck to be parked at an undetermined location as of this moment), and move my stuff into my new place on December 31st sometime after noon.  Happy New Year to me!!!

Well, now you're all caught up with what's new with me.

Good luck on your move. I lived in an apartment in Castle Rock for a year some years back. Being from Texas the snow removal facinated us. Enjoy your new life Sandra

Congrats on the new apartment. I will also be spending today (December 31st) moving to new home.
