College daze

I have applied for and been accepted to Metro State for Fall 2010.  It's been several years since I've been in school and I forgot all the crap that goes along with getting your foot in the door!  I've filled out my FAFSA and COF.  I've requested my transcripts from PA and NY.  I have to prove I'm up-to-date on my immunizations, complete assessment tests, submit a few more forms, register for classes, go buy my student ID, books, etc and then find time to do homework.  What the hell did I get myself into?!?!?

I'm sure it'll all fall into place about a week after classes start and I acclimate to my new schedule.  I'm really excited to start and wish this freakin paperwork was already completed.  That being said, I'm going to complete more today.  I'm my own Genie!

Other than that, not much new.  I applied for a CSS IV position at the hospital; waiting to hear yay or nay on that.  It'd be nice to have a set daytime schedule so I can accommodate my night class schedule easier.  There should also be more money involved.

I've started hearing from him again.  It appears his "uncle" or grandfather summoned him out of town for a while.  It's really nice to have communications with him, but I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up until there's something to get them up about (insert snarky comment here).

I guess that's all for now.  I was reminded (not so gently with an "air stab") that I needed to update my two readers about how lame I am.  Here you go, Anxiety Girl!!!

Gloriana/Kellie Pickler/Taylor Swift concert

I'm using my blog as my medium to review last night's show.  Overall, it was a fun night.  Gloriana was great; they're going to be big.  Kellie was as awesome as I thought she'd be.  And then there's Taylor.  Although I enjoy her music, her live show left a bit to be desired.  I paid hard-earned (ok..that's debatable) cash to hear music.  Taylor spent a lot of time just staring into the audience, making weird faces.  I'm surprised she doesn't have whiplash for all her hair whipping.  That may have been cute when she was fifteen, but she's twenty now.  I realize her fan base is a lot younger than I am, but I'm sure they would have appreciated more music as well.

That being said, I'm very much looking forward to Shinedown in May.  I can't wait for them to rock my face off!!!!!!!!!

Five years ago

Today is the fifth anniversary of my dad's death.  I really miss him!  I cannot believe how much time has gone by.  I can remember the phone call like it was yesterday.

Short, sweet and to the point

I'm beginning to believe that maybe it just isn't meant to be.  I cry because you disappointed me, NOT because I can't live without you.

That's all.
