before number 40

I have been struggling for a long time with my physical self, although I have not really tried to do anything to remedy it.  After hearing about the DVD, "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead," I am motivated to test Joe's program.  In my Amazon shopping cart, there is a juicer, a book of juices and the DVD.

As I may or may not have stated, I've lost interest in eating--period.  I used to LOVE to eat--more often, bigger meant better as far as portion size was concerned.  I believe this is my body telling me that it needs a break, and what better way than juicing beautiful fruits and vegetables and enjoying their vitamin and mineral-packed liquid offerings!  I also believe that the skin issues I've been suffering with (yet to be correctly diagnosed, even by a dermatologist) are a direct result of my diet.  Maybe I could also lay my insomnia at the feet of eating too many processed foods?  Dull complexion and brittle nails would probably benefit from some liquid nourishment.

The point of this post is:  I want to feel better about my physical self, and if I find that juicing puts some pep in my step and takes a few (hundred) unwanted pounds away, so be it!

Yeah! I've been wanting to watch that and also get a juicer. As it is right now...I blend fruits and yogurt to make something resembling healthy. But I'd love to get veggies in on the mix! Sooo good for you and I don't eat nearly enough. I think our diets effect so many aspects of the rest of our lives. I used to think it was normal to eat lunch and have that feeling of wanting to take a nap afterwards. Nope! Food isn't supposed to make you feel sluggish, it's supposed to energize you. My friend turned me on to a raw food diet (basically unprocessed foods) and I've felt so much 'lighter' ever since. And like you said, it's probably good for your skin and probably even your sleep etc. Good luck Steph! Let us know how you get on with the juicing!

You want to hear something funny? There's been a juicer in my cart on Amazon for the last 10 months. I decided to hold off buying it until we moved house and well... as you know there was that little wrench called Australia. Let us know how the juicing goes and please tell me if your nails get stronger! I have brittle nails, too!!

Oh, and as soon as I'm in the States I'm buying that mf juicer!
