Let me preface the story by stating that I have a horrific sleep schedule since I work nights. So, I roll out of bed on Monday morning around 4. I'm just schlepping around, minding my own business. The day before, I bought some Pyrex mixing bowls, Rubbermaid storage bowls and other kitchen stuff at Target so I'm stocked up and ready to start bringing my own healthy lunches to work *cough*. Anyway...instead of hand washing everything, I throw the Pyrex lids, Rubbermaid bowls and a cutting board in my dishwasher. I loaded up with the appropriate amount of eco-friendly detergent and locked it up. It started gurgling away, nothing sounds out of the ordinary. A minute or two later, I turn to the kitchen to see that my sink is spewing nasty water from where the sprayer would be if I had one. Given the history of water incidences I've been having in my apartments, my first thought goes to, "What the FUCK?!?!?!?!?!" I turned off the d/w and unloaded it. I left a message on the office voicemail (no active flooding = no emergency maintenance) and patiently wait for a return call. Fast forward 8 hours; 5 hours after the leasing office opens. I haven't heard from anyone, so I give a call back. Blah, blah, blah...really busy day, will send maintenance over right away. I wait another 3 hours (office closes at 5) and nothing.
I stated my case for working Wednesday-Friday night; I requested no one enter my apartment while I'm sleeping. I guess it won't get fixed until next week (no weekend hours). Yes, it would get fixed faster, but the thought of someone I don't know being in my apartment while I'm trying to sleep skeeves me out, not to mention that the repair job would not be a quiet one!
*SIGH* I hope this is not a precursor of things to come in my new home...

I had to post the pics before I would have liked to *cough* because I was being bullied by an unnamed *cough* yellow person. :\

Your loft picture made me laugh because all i see is a bed. hehehe
sorry to hear about the sink/dw. you must have done a plumber wrong in your past life. I seriously seriously hope they take care of this problem fast- and i would even say something to management right away and voice your concerns and tell them about your PTSD from the Cherry Creek place. Let them put some faith back into your heart because you are paying too much for WATER DRAMA!!!
By the way... you didn't have to post the pics before you liked to. YOu could have just sent them to me....
I see how it is. BLame the yellow.
