It's official--I'm not playing summer softball for the league I chose. I wanted it so badly, I could taste it, but they weren't able to place me on the Sunday afternoon team I needed to be on. That is the only day I consistently have off.
I've been reading this and trying to figure out what career best fits my personality. There are so many to choose from! A brief sampling includes: career counselor, social worker, priest (ha!), artist, novelist, interior designer, film editor, massage therapist, legislative assistant, HR manager, curator and environmental lawyer. The complete list contains careers I have contemplated as well as many I've never heard of. I was confused before I started this book and I'm just as confused today, maybe more so! I'm going to re-read it and make many notes to help guide me through the maze of possibilities.
I've also been scouring the Internet for a new job. The politics at the hospital are too much to bear lately and I'm not sure how much more I can witness. There have been a few that I've applied for, but I haven't heard back from anyone. I'll keep plucking away and I'll find one that is a good fit for me.
I am a pen connoisseur. My latest and greatest is one that I've had for a few years. I consider it a going away gift from a previous employer. It writes like a dream and I have to go to Office Depot and squirrel away a supply.
That is all for now! =)
