first week

My first week of classes is over.  I know it's too early to form an opinion, but I believe I'll like Color Theory better than Critical Thinking, although Critical Thinking will serve me better in life.  The teachers are very different and the classroom setting is a big change of pace from my desk-jockeying of the past 20+ years.  I believe I'm the oldest in both classes, but I don't care.  Who can fault anyone, no matter their age, for wanting to better their lives?

Thursday night, we went to the Soiled Dove Underground to see Andy Grammer, Parachute, Default and Hanson.  I was NOT there to see Hanson, however, 75% of the audience seemed to be.  I loved Andy Grammer and Default!!!  Parachute was OK, but Hanson still chaps my ass after all these years!

Anyway...

I have a busy day today.  At 10AM, I am logging on to purchase Journey/Night Ranger/Foreigner tickets; I'm stoked!!!!!!!!  I love Love LOVE Journey, and although Steve Perry is no longer with the band, his replacement, Arnel Pineda, sounds so like him, I don't think I'll miss him.  I'm strictly there for the music!

Arnel Pineda's Journey

Then, it's grocery shopping this afternoon and Hamilton will stay downtown and hang out with me today.  Tonight, a free concert featuring Matt Wertz at the Bluebird Theatre.  It's free because Hamilton won tickets last week and he asked if I wanted to go.  I love live music and will go at the drop of a hat if I have no previous plans.  Hell, if the artist is someone I really want to see, I'll rearrange plans if need be.  :D

Tomorrow will be an early night because I'm supposed to be well rested before the dentist on Monday.  I'll call Grandma early and take my 'happy pill' early-ish to get some sleep.  I have to be at Dr. Stamm's office at 6:45 AM on Monday.  Yeah, you read that right.  I'll be in the chair for most of the business day because I requested sedation and one visit.  I don't care to be at the dentist, but I want a healthy and beautiful smile more.

My schedule is full of stuff during the time I have requested off from work.  I think after these three weeks, I'll have found some answers and will be well on my way toward healing my wounded self.  I'm very positive and hopeful for this timeframe.

So, until next time, Athena and Jenn (my two readers)...

I'm not sure if it's just me, but you already seem healthier and happier in these last few posts. I can feel the energy and it makes me happy to know that such positive things are going your way. Enjoy those three weeks off and good luck with the dentist and the pursuit to find answers.

You are not wounded! Stop talking about yourself like that or I will smack that beautiful face of yours!!!
