After work Thursday night, I went into the office to rearrange my schedule to accommodate the department and asked if I could have Friday night off since there were six clerks on the schedule. My manager told me she would call me later and let me know if the schedule was correct and 'yay' or 'nay'. So, I came home and went to bed because I haven't been sleeping well at all and I was just exhausted. She called to let me know I could have the night off and I fell back asleep. Then I got a call from Katie that she wasn't feeling well and had called off. FFFFFFFFFUCK!!!!! Therefore, I decided I better go in so we wouldn't be short on a Friday night. I slept all of about four hours and couldn't sleep anymore. Just great! This ought to be a fabulous night...
Friday night in Trauma came and went. I came home and crashed. I would wake up every now and then, but always fall back asleep. About 4:45 PM, I woke up, rolled over and called my yellow friend to make sure we were still on for Margaret Cho and we were. As soon as I stood up, I was almost knocked over by the most severe migraine I've had in a long, long time. I was nauseous and experiencing photophobia. I grabbed an ice pack and a frozen bag of corn; one for my neck and one for my forehead and eyes. After 1000 mg of ibuprofen and more than an hour, I was able to get upright again and attempt to get ready for my night out. I closed my door and didn't turn any lights on. The sun was setting and the ambiance in the room was perfect for my throbbing head. I even showered in the dark. The hot water really helped me feel better; I stayed under the cascading water longer than I normally would have. I got out of the shower, got ready and enjoyed Margaret Cho with a great friend.
We came home after dinner at Applebee's and just chilled for a bit. I was feeling pretty wiped out from that migraine, so around 1 AM, I went to bed. I slept...and slept...and slept. I didn't get out of bed until almost 10 AM!!! My brother thought maybe I had gotten up in the middle of the night and went back to bed, because that's what I normally do on my days off. Not this time! Between the lack of sleep and the brain-swirler, I got my ass kicked! I felt pretty good today, but did have a bit of a headache hangover. I chillaxed for a few hours before getting ready for lunch at On The Border and grocery shopping at Wallyworld in Lakewood. I won't shop at that ghetto store again. I much prefer our regular haunt in Greenwood Village/Centennial.
I wanted to go to Pinkberry because I've never had it and I noticed there is one by the house. After we called Grandma, we went and had our first fro-yo experience. Not bad! I got chocolate with pumpkin spice granola, coconut, yogurt bits, blueberries, strawberries and mixed nuts. Hamilton got coconut with strawberries, pineapple, low-fat granola, praline sauce...and I can't remember what else. Then, it was off to Target to get a couple things that Wallyworld didn't have: ground espresso and Sobe Lifewater. I also picked up some sugar-free vanilla coffee syrup, chili pepper spaghetti, fruit snacks and Pringles. I suck at grocery shopping! I bought tons of stuff to drink and barely anything to eat!!! Whatever.
I am now in my shorts and t-shirt, chilling out on the couch and listening to Pandora radio while I type. All in all, a very productive day. I got to watch a bit of football, too, and that was great. I usually miss it because I work Saturday nights and sleep all day Sunday before errands.
That is all.
